About the role

Contract: Fixed Term/Secondment
Hours: 22.5 per week
Working Days: Wednesday - Friday
Location : Dublin

Join a dynamic team at the heart of Boots Ireland’s Trading function. As customer needs evolve, we’re focused on using insights and trends to deliver the most comprehensive Health & Wellness offering in the Irish market.

Reporting to the Category Manager, the Category Assistant work closely with the Healthcare and wider Irish Trading teams, supporting category performance and delivering business priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Support delivery of the Healthcare category budget, sales, and promotional plans.
Manage supplier and product set-up on internal systems.
Provide store support through effective communication and problem-solving.
Produce weekly sales performance reports.
Build relationships with Boots UK Healthcare teams to support UK-led initiatives.
Identify local opportunities and support new product launches in Ireland.
Attend supplier meetings and occasionally travel to Boots UK headquarters.
What You'll Need
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Good Excel skills and experience analysing data.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
A passion for Healthcare and an interest in developing a career in buying.
Desirable
Experience in a category assistant or trading support role.
Knowledge of Healthcare products, regulations, and medicinal licensing.
Previous Healthcare trading experience and strong presentation skills.
