Restaurant Host
Since 2006, Hawksmoor has been the UK’s home of ethically sourced, grass-fed beef, cooked over charcoal and paired with award-winning wines and cocktails. Hawksmoor Dublin plays a key role in bringing our warm, generous hospitality to the city. We’re proud to be a certified B Corp, one of the most sustainable restaurant groups in the industry, and to have been recognised as one of the Best Companies to work for year after year.

As a Restaurant Host at Hawksmoor, you’ll be right at the heart of the guest experience. This is not a desk-based role. You’ll be welcoming guests, managing reservations and waiting lists, coordinating seating and cloakroom, and supporting the floor team to keep service running smoothly. You’ll be a key part of how we deliver warm, generous hospitality from the very first hello.

What You’ll Do
  • Welcome guests warmly and confidently on arrival
  • Manage reservations, walk-ins and waiting lists during service
  • Seat guests and manage the flow of the restaurant to support smooth service
  • Oversee cloakroom and guest arrivals during busy periods
  • Communicate clearly with managers, floor teams and the kitchen
  • Support the floor team by helping set and reset tables and assist service when needed
  • Handle guest enquiries in person, by phone and email with care and professionalism
Who You Are
  • Naturally friendly, confident and great with people
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy restaurant environment
  • Organised, calm and able to think on your feet
  • A reliable team player who enjoys being part of a close-knit team
  • Previous hospitality or customer-facing experience is helpful but not essential, full training provided
Our Values
Welcome Everyone - We create warm, inclusive spaces where people feel genuinely welcome.
Work Hard and Be Nice to People - We set high standards and treat each other with kindness and respect.
Hit Hawksmoor Standards - We care deeply about quality and consistency every day.
Keep Evolving - We stay curious, open to feedback and always looking to improve.

Benefits
  • 30 days’ holiday
  • Tronc paid for every hour you work, including holidays and breaks
  • 25% Sunday Premium
  • Referral bonuses from day one
  • Paid annual volunteer days
  • A dedicated restaurant welfare budget for healthy snacks, drinks, and extra support during busy times
  • Free meals while you’re at work
  • 50% off food in our restaurants for you and your loved ones
  • HSF Health Plan – helping you look after your health and wellbeing
  • Access to Perkbox for exclusive discounts and perks
  • Taxsaver Commuter Ticket Scheme
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Huge investment in training and development with qualifications across Wine, H&S, Food Safety, HR and a five-stage management development programme, run in partnership with the Watershed Management School

We’re building a team that reflects the richness and diversity of the communities we serve. At Hawksmoor, we welcome everyone and believe in creating a workplace where individuality is celebrated, kindness is key and high standards are met together. If this role excites you but you don’t meet every requirement, please apply anyway. You might be exactly who we’re looking for.
