The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced, professional, and enthusiastic Deputy Hotel Manager to lead our dedicated team and oversee all aspects of the hotel's daily operations. This is a pivotal management role for a dynamic individual with a passion for hospitality, a hands-on approach, and the leadership skills to maintain our high standards of service and guest satisfaction.

You will work closely with department heads (HODs) to ensure seamless cross-departmental coordination, drive efficiency, and continue to deliver the exceptional service that our guests consistently praise in reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dynamic, hands-on oversight of all hotel functions to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration across all teams, including Front Office, F&B, Accommodation, and Maintenance.
  • Work with the management team to achieve optimum sales levels and manage operational costs effectively.
  • Ensure the implementation and adherence to all company operating standards, including quality of service, presentation, and HACCP plans.
  • Assist in the management and development of staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management, in conjunction with the Hotel Manager.
  • Proactively manage guest relations, ensuring all feedback is addressed and high satisfaction levels are maintained.
  • Oversee Health & Safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in a similar deputy hotel management position or two years in a head of department role within a busy 4 or 5-star Irish property.
  • Strong background in hotel operations, with comprehensive knowledge of room revenue, F&B, and accommodation management.
  • Excellent people skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a large team.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • A proactive and reliable attitude, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced city-centre environment.

Pay: €60,000.00-€70,000.00 per year
