About the Role
Experience Required
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests while also supporting key administrative and operational functions. You will play an important role in ensuring smooth daily operations, outstanding guest experiences, and effective team coordination. The position requires experience in Hotsoft.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the highest level of guest service at all times, providing accurate information about the hotel, local attractions, and services.
- Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring full compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Handle incoming phone calls and emails professionally, following company etiquette.
- Issue room keys and guide guests to their rooms when required.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date guest and room booking records using the hotel PMS.
- Assist with reservations and yield management support
- Liaise closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to resolve guest requests, issues, or complaints efficiently.
- Manage stationery ordering and stock control.
- Assist with cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
- Support onboarding and training of front office staff.

The Ideal Candidate

- Have strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Are flexible and available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Have previous experience as a receptionist in a 4–5 star hotel (highly desirable).
- Have knowledge of Hotsoft or another PMS system (a distinct advantage, but not essential).
Applicants must be living in Galway and have held relevant roles within four or five-star hotels to be fully considered.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Hotel Receptionist (preferred).
- Hotel reception and front office operations.
- Reservations handling.
- Cash handling procedures.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Full Support and Training given.
