The Abbey Court Hotel is an independently owned Irish hotel located in the historic town of Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Food & Beverage Attendant to join our team and contribute to delivering an exceptional guest experience. The role is 5 over 7 and includes weekends & bank holidays, flexiblity is key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver consistently high standards of customer service in all food and beverage areas.
  • Prepare, set, and maintain tables to a high standard of presentation and cleanliness.
  • Take guest orders accurately and ensure timely and efficient service of food and beverages.
  • Process cash and card transactions accurately in line with company procedures.
  • Support colleagues during service and provide guidance to less experienced team members where required.
  • Assist with the preparation and service of events, including weddings and corporate functions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation across all service areas in compliance with hygiene standards.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of shifts, ensuring service standards are upheld at all times.
  • Address guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating where appropriate.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety and food safety regulations.
  • Participate in the training and mentoring of team members.
  • Work in different areas as required and directed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Demonstrate a positive, proactive approach and lead by example in all aspects of the role.

Key Requirements

  • 2–5 years’ experience in a similar food and beverage role.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and mentor team members.
  • A professional, reliable, and team-oriented approach.
