Full job description

The Abbey Hotel, Donegal Town are seeking a reliable and dedicated Night Porter to join our team. Full-time or part-time role will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in designated areas, including lobbies, hallways and restrooms throughout the night.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of events or meetings as required
  • Ensure only guests are allowed beyond the reception areas for security and safety reasons.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and assist with any late-night requests.
  • Conduct regular checks of the hotel premises to ensure everything is secure and in order.
  • Provide support to other staff members as needed including light maintenance.
  • Report any maintenance or security issues to the relevant departments.
  • Provide a friendly and professional service to ensure excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellence communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
  • Must be available to work overnight, including weekends and holidays.
