Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:


Event Set-Up & Turnaround


  • Prepare, set up, and break down conference and banqueting rooms according to event requirements and layouts (e.g., theatre, classroom, cabaret, boardroom, banquet).
  • Move, arrange, and store furniture, staging, linen, and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all meeting and function areas are ready for the following day's events, adhering to the hotel's brand and presentation standards.
  • Assist with late-night or early-morning event turnovers to ensure seamless transitions between functions.


Guest Service


  • Provide assistance to guests or delegates as required during evening or overnight events.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional manner at all times, upholding the hotel's reputation for exceptional service.
  • Respond promptly to guest and departmental requests throughout the night shift.


Housekeeping & Maintenance Support


  • Maintain cleanliness and order in all C&B areas, including storerooms, corridors, and back-of-house event spaces.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to the Night Manager/Director of C&B Operations.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, stored, and in working condition.


Health & Safety


  • Follow all hotel health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling and equipment use.
  • Ensure all fire exits and walkways are clear of obstruction.
  • Adhere to security protocols and assist with emergency procedures when required.


Requirements for the role:


  • Previous experience in a similar role within a 4-star or luxury hotel environment is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail with a genuine pride in maintaining high presentation and service standards.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with availability to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and positive attitude.
