Full job description

We are currently seeking a Meeting & Events Co-ordinator to join our team, minimum one year experience. If you are driven, passionate, innovative with a flair for individuality then we would love to hear from you.


The Role

  • Responsible for selling and coordinating meetings, conferences, weddings, private dinning and other areas of the hotel,
  • Maximize revenue and profit through pro-active selling techniques, diary management and pricing strategy.
  • Be a proactive ambassador for The Hardiman, specifically for weddings and conference events.
  • Generate Function Sheets and communicate to the hotel team appropriately.
  • Operate and maintain a computerised system (Opera & HubSpot) for responding and coordinating and tracking sales enquiries, bookings, availability and maintaining up to date profiles, and recording client feedback post event.
  • Plan, organize and carry out show-arounds and familiarization trips as required.
  • Ensure prompt and professional responses and follow-up to sales enquiries.
  • Generate sufficient information for invoicing of events.
  • Meet and greet all clients during the event phase and ensure the smooth handover of the event to the operations team for the execution of details.
  • Management of customer feedback including responding to guest problems and complaints relating to Weddings and Events.
  • Take ownership for recurring challenges and ensure the issues are resolved.
  • Schedule and attend weekly function and sales meetings.
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual sales and events budget in line with the Director of Sales & Marketing. Responsible for wedding & events reporting and budget targets.
  • Attend workshops, exhibitions and promotional events where required.


The Person

  • The candidate is required to be competent in the full life cycle of weddings, from enquiry to the event day
  • To have at least 1-3 years sales and/or events experience in a similar role in a hospitality setting.
  • To work to budgets and targets as set out by management.
  • The candidate will possess lots of drive and ambition.
  • Good ability to work efficiently under pressure and deal with busy times competently.
  • Be highly Guest Focused - natural instinct for 'hospitality' and lively, friendly and welcoming personality is essential.
  • Be a strong communicator who revels in the finer details.
