St Patrick’s Mental Health Services seeks a Human Resources Administrator to work as a member of the HR team in St Patrick’s Mental Health Services to ensure a high-quality service.

The HR Administrator position is a hybrid role and the role requires the successful candidate to come onsite to St Patrick’s University Hospital in Dublin 8, incorporating St Patricks Hospital Lucan and all SPMHS Dean Clinics as operationally needed.

Tenure: Full time, specified purpose contract, pensionable as below
Working Week: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm
Salary: The Salary for the position is depending on experience and will be based on the SPMHS 2026 Clerical Grade IV scale which ranges from €37,277 to €55,398.
Annual Leave The annual leave associated with the position is 25 days
Pension: All pensionable staff become members of the pension scheme upon commencement of employment. The scheme is a defined contribution scheme with a deduction from the salary of the employee of 4%. In respect of an internal appointment being made the individuals existing pension arrangements will continue.
Probation: The appointee will be appointed in a probationary capacity for the first six months during which time the job holder’s performance will be subject to ongoing review.
Any extension to or suspension of the period of probation will be in line with the European Union (Transparent and Predictable Working Conditions) 2022.17/
Health: The appointee must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the position and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
Character: The appointee must be of good character
Retirement Age: Normal retirement age for employees is 66 years which at present is also normal pension age

The HR Administrator position is a hybrid role and the role requires the successful candidate to come onsite to St Patrick’s University Hospital in Dublin 8, incorporating St Patricks Hospital Lucan and all SPMHS Dean Clinics as operationally needed.
Duties:
- Administration of aspects of Human Resources function including recruitment, health & safety, training & development, absence management, performance management & development, grievance & disputes, and other ad hoc HR duties as required.
- Assuming responsibility for the full recruitment and selection lifecycle for allocated recruitment competitions which includes; liaison with recruiting manager and applicants,scheduling interviews, HR representative on interview panels, preparation of interview documentation,offer of employment and post interview onboarding administration.
- Providing support in relation to the organisation of training and development as required, including managing and reporting on mandatory training records for all staff, liaising with internal and external training providers and processing and tracking staff training and further education funding applications.
- Responsible for managing departmental data and producing reports.
- Dealing with day-to-day queries, e.g. request for letters confirming employment.
- Maintaining a comprehensive filing system of all staff in specified departments- both electronic and physical as required
- Assisting with the administration of computerised HR systems and ensuring all computerised HR records are kept up to date.
- Completing and/or assisting with various HR projects as may be assigned
- Participating in learning and development activities
- Acting within the parameters of the role and escalating issues/queries as necessary
- Liaising with other departments, managers and/or supervisors as necessary to carry out duties.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
