Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner (HR Site Manager)
Location: Galway City
Type: Permanent, Fully Onsite
Salary: €70-80k DOE + benefits
Summary:
An established manufacturing facility in Galway City is seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Business Partner to lead the onsite HR function and join the Senior Leadership Team. This is a key appointment responsible for all aspects of HR management, team leadership, and business partnering in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead, coach, and develop the onsite HR team (HR Generalist & HR Administrator), allocating workload and ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality HR support.
    • Build a collaborative, high-performing HR department focused on continuous improvement.
    • Operate as a trusted partner to site leadership, providing data-driven insights (turnover, absenteeism, labour costs, training compliance, retention) to support business objectives.
    • Contribute to workforce planning, organisational design, succession planning, and talent pipeline development for business-critical roles.
    • Oversee complex employee relations cases, ensuring timely, fair, and compliant resolutions.
    • Advise and guide managers on performance, conduct, attendance management, and conflict resolution.
    • Ensure consistent policy application and compliance with all employment regulations and company standards.
    • Oversee full-cycle talent acquisition and onboarding; lead key hiring campaigns as needed.
    • Manage training matrix compliance, grant processes, and support audits with robust documentation.
    • Drive leadership and competency development initiatives for supervisors and front-line managers.
    • Ensure accuracy and compliance in HR documentation, contracts, HRIS data, and training records.
    • Lead annual HR budgeting and forecasting (including headcount and training budgets).
    • Manage performance and compensation review cycles, and policy/process updates.
    • Implement site-wide engagement and improvement initiatives.
    • Support site safety culture in collaboration with EHS.
    • Attend daily leadership meetings and support operational excellence projects.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related (or equivalent experience)
  • CIPD qualification desirable
  • 5+ years' HR management or business partnering experience, ideally in a fast-paced, manufacturing or regulated environment
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and influencing abilities
  • Well-versed in all aspects of HR operations, talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and HRIS
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Able to work onsite and to support occasional after-hours HR matters
