This individual will be part of the AI/ ML Solutions team for Underwriting at Optum Rx and be responsible for re-imagining key business processes leveraging AI. The Product Manager will be responsible for working with business and technical stakeholders to facilitate the capture of end-end requirements to establish and deliver the product roadmap. The successful candidate will work across multiple teams to ensure alignment and serve as the voice of the business with the engineering team to ensure products deliver business value.

What you will do:
- Develop and enhance products that address business needs and priorities, creating solutions that truly make an impact
- Work with Leadership to manage the full product lifecycle, from initial concept through deployment, support, and change management
- Operate effectively in Agile teams: write user stories, define acceptance criteria, support sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
- Evaluate solutions strategically, ensuring seamless integration and balancing value against cost throughout development using an Agile model
- Partner with business teams to identify opportunities for product and service improvements. Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and product demos; provide crisp updates to senior stakeholders
- Identify where AI/ML (including emerging approaches such as agentic workflows) could improve user outcomes or operational efficiency
- Partner with data science/engineering to understand feasibility, risks, and constraints; ensure appropriate guardrails and measurement
- Communicate product vision and roadmap clearly to stakeholders and leadership
- Serve as the product champion and apply deep expertise to credibly represent, manage and engage with business stakeholders
- Contribute to team success, sharing knowledge and supporting growth across the organization

What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven product management and collaboration skills with business, engineering teams and experience taking a product through the full lifecycle
- Proven experience of working on Agile teams and deep understanding of business-centric product design and development
- Demonstrated success managing and delivering large, multi-stakeholder programs and experience in product strategy or capability management
- Demonstrated good awareness and understanding of AI/ML technologies and potential applications to business contexts
- Proven good data analysis skills using tools like Excel or BI tools to interpret metrics and make evidence-based decisions
Other useful skills and experience include:
- Demonstrated passion for innovation and a solid desire to create meaningful impact
- Proven prior experience in the Insurance industry, healthcare economics or related discipline
