This is a superb opportunity to join the hotel team of Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel within the Sales & Events Department as Sales & Events Executive. The Sales & Events Executive - Groups manages all conventions, meetings, incentives and events from file handover to completion ensuring maximum profitability and client satisfaction. In addition, they manage the full event cycle for weddings including initial enquiry, site inspections and contract preparation.
Specific Duties
- To manage all conventions, meetings, incentives and events from file handover to completion ensuring maximum profitability and client satisfaction.
- To manage the full event cycle for weddings including initial enquiry, site inspections and contract preparation.
- To effectively monitor the daily events planning process and operations of the Events Department, including providing support and guidance to fellow events planners and the hotel banquet team to ensure a successful and effective operation ending in a positive on-brand, guest experience.
- To liaise with the sales departments ensuring efficient transition for each event being contracted.
- To build and ensure a strong and effective relationship with the Food and Beverage manager and his/her conference and banqueting team.
- To effectively process all weddings/event through the enquiry stage, sales process through to the completion and signing of contract.
- To effectively coordinate the delivery of all events business with all relevant departments.
- To be responsible for maintaining all procedures and processes within the events planning department as detailed by The Marker Hotel, and in line with Leading Hotel of the World Standards.
- To ensure that all summaries and banqueting event orders are both produced and signed off by the client in a timely manner.
- To ensure that all operational information is accurate on group summaries and banqueting event orders.
- To ensure that all relevant information is communicated to all departments prior to and during events.
- To maintain a strong client relationship and ensuring that all banqueting specifications are communicated to and executed by all operating departments making for a successful event experience for the event planner, and attendees.
- To ensure that there is a constant communication from the Events Team to all hotel departments and the client as it applies to the client at hand.
- To ensure that the conference & banqueting team has executed the appropriate and timely set up of all functions and meetings while maintaining standards of food, beverage and meeting specifications.
- To give daily support and guidance to fellow events and banquet personnel to ensure a successful event experience by our guests.
- To carry out all duties in line with departmental Standards Manual (Leading Quality Assurance). Please see attached LQA document.
- To provide a channel for communication within the hotel to effectively deal with all telephone and email enquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- To be fully aware of any menu updates, hotel promotions, corporate promotions or special
- To be knowledgeable and informed about the introduction of products.
General responsibilities
- To ensure the hotel achieves the Leading Hotels of the World Quality Assurance targets and that the highest standards of luxury and quality delivered consistently to our guests.
- To deliver excellent care to our guests
- To have an understanding the Hotel’s Vision & Mission statement as communicated to the team
- To report defective materials and equipment to the appropriate Departments.
- To be vigilant throughout the Hotel to promote security
- To have strong product knowledge of all areas of the hotel.
- To accept a flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to Hotel guests and to maintain flexibility within teams.
- To provide support where necessary in other areas of the Hotel.
- To comply with the hotels cash handling procedure.
