About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Night Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team. You will play a key role in keeping the kitchen clean, safe, and well organised, ensuring our chefs can deliver great food and excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and storage.
  • Wash pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, and kitchen utensils promptly and efficiently.
  • Operate and maintain dishwashing machines (where applicable).
  • Empty bins, manage waste, and follow recycling procedures.
  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation (e.g., peeling vegetables) when required.
  • Receive and store deliveries, checking temperatures and stock rotation.
  • Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and COSHH guidelines.

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen or cleaning experience is a plus, but full training will be provided.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
  • Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, and moving throughout shifts.
  • A positive, team-focused attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
  • Previous kitchen porter or restaurant experience preferred
  • Available to work evening/night shifts, including weekends
