Working as part of a product development team to support Silver Pail in developing and launching new ice cream products and formats, ensuring the highest standards of innovation, quality, taste, and compliance.
The role involves keeping up to date with market trends, managing sample preparation and the NPD pipeline, preparing customer presentations and technical documentation, and coordinating with sales, technical and production teams from concept through to product launch.
- Proactive idea generation to support the development of new ice cream recipes, including dairy, non-dairy, low-sugar, and functional formulations, along with continuous improvement and innovation of existing lines, recipes and ingredients.
- Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle for a range of new ice cream products.
- Coordinate the NPD pipeline and dispatch of frozen product samples for customer review and internal assessments, ensuring product presentations are well-detailed.
- Work with R&D technicians to organise production of laboratory samples.
- Organise and assist with kitchen-scale trials, scale-ups, and factory-based pilot runs, ensuring smooth handover to production.
- Liaise with suppliers to source new raw materials and understand potential new raw materials.
- Conduct sensory testing, competitive benchmarking, and product shelf-life assessments.
- Review available market research into retail and food service channels, keeping ahead of emerging trends, and providing retailers with detailed insights tailored to their business needs.
- Project manage critical path timelines, sample inventory, and update internal systems and trackers.
- Maintain seasonal calendars with a proactive approach, aligning with customers schedules with a targeted NPD approach.
- Work cross-functionally with Technical, Production, Supply Chain, and Sales to ensure successful product launches.
- Support preparation of presentations and concept proposals to present to customers.
Pay: €40,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
