About Futura Innovation Conference

Futura Innovation Conference brings together 1,500+ participants, 400+ speakers, and 200+ sessions in a dynamic, walkable experience spanning multiple venues throughout Limerick City Centre.

Industry leaders, policymakers, investors, founders, researchers, and innovators come together to explore the ideas shaping our future. To enhance the attendee experience, Futura is seeking a passionate and connected Experiential Manager based in Limerick to help showcase the creativity, culture, innovation, and local talent that make the city unique.

Role Overview

The Experiential Manager will work closely with the Futura team to identify, recruit, and coordinate engaging experiences that activate public spaces, walking routes, and conference venues throughout the three-day event.

The goal is to create memorable moments that surprise and delight attendees as they move between conference locations across the city. This role is ideal for someone with strong connections to Limerick’s arts, music, technology, cultural, student, and creative communities who is excited to showcase local talent to an international audience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and recruit local artists, musicians, performers, makers, students, startups, and creative organisations.
  • Develop interactive experiences that reflect the spirit, culture, and creativity of Limerick.
  • Source low-cost, community-supported, or partnership-driven activations that can be integrated throughout the conference footprint.
  • Coordinate with local cultural institutions, universities, creative collectives, community groups, and city stakeholders.
  • Recommend locations for activations along attendee walking routes, public spaces, and gathering areas.
  • Help secure permissions and coordinate logistics for approved experiences.
  • Work with the Futura team to ensure experiences align with conference schedules, venue plans, and attendee flow.
  • Assist in creating a diverse mix of art, music, technology, innovation, and cultural experiences.
  • Support final coordination leading up to the event and assist with on-site execution during the conference.

Examples of Desired Experiences

  • Live music performances by local artists
  • Interactive art installations
  • Student technology demonstrations
  • Street performers and cultural showcases
  • Pop-up maker exhibits
  • Digital art and projection experiences
  • Innovation demonstrations from local startups
  • Hands-on creative workshops
  • Public art tours and cultural experiences
  • Interactive experiences that encourage attendee participation

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of and connections within the Limerick community.
  • Experience working with artists, performers, cultural organisations, community groups, universities, or creative networks.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A creative thinker who can identify unique experiences within limited budgets.
  • Someone comfortable coordinating multiple people, ideas, timelines, and locations.
  • Passion for showcasing Limerick’s culture, talent, hospitality, and innovation to visitors from around the world.

Budget Considerations

Futura is operating with a modest experiential budget and is seeking someone who can leverage community partnerships, local pride, educational institutions, cultural organisations, and volunteer participation to create meaningful experiences.

The focus is not on producing expensive activations, but on highlighting the incredible talent, creativity, and hospitality that already exists within Limerick.

Our Vision

We want conference attendees to leave not only inspired by the conversations inside the venues, but also by the people, culture, creativity, and innovation they encounter throughout the city.

This role will help transform Futura into a uniquely Limerick experience that visitors will remember long after the conference ends.

Compensation Note

This is a project-based contractor role, starting at €7,500 per completed project, with room to negotiate based on experience, scope, and agreed responsibilities.

Indeed may require an hourly pay estimate. Any hourly range shown is an approximate equivalent only and does not represent a fixed hourly employment arrangement. Final compensation will be agreed in advance based on project scope, expected level of involvement, and timeline.

Pay: €30.00-€60.00 per hour
