Detailer

As a Precast Detailer, you will be responsible for translating architectural and engineering designs into precise and accurate drawings for the production and installation of precast concrete elements. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the precast components meet design specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed 3D precast models and 2D assembly drawings using AutoCAD and/or Tekla.
  • Produce detailed drawings and plans for the fabrication of precast concrete elements.
  • Ensure that all precast components adhere to local building codes and industry standards.
  • Conduct quality checks on detailed drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and make necessary revisions based on feedback.
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimise material usage and reduce waste.

Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and/or Tekla software.
  • Knowledge of precast concrete detailing and construction processes.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations.
