Full job description

Seeking motivated and dedicated Medical Registrars to join dynamic multidisciplinary teams across acute hospital services in Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity for doctors seeking to advance their clinical experience in General Internal Medicine and associated specialties within a supportive teaching environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care under consultant supervision
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and on-call rosters
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
  • Collaborate effectively with nursing, allied health, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in clinical audit, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and patient safety standards


Essential Requirements

  • Registration with the Medical Council of Ireland or eligibility for registration
  • Minimum of 3 years’ postgraduate clinical experience
  • Experience in General Medicine or related specialties
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland

Desirable Criteria

  • Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) or equivalent qualification
  • Previous registrar-level experience
  • Interest in medical education, research, or quality improvement
