Responsible for the efficient processing of all Access to Care functions throughout the Hospital. The Access to Care Advisor will project a professional company image through all contact with all patients, staff and visitors to UPMC Aut Even Hospital.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

o Be responsible for admitting all patients in Radiology

o Have knowledge of multiple systems and be able to manage a busy workload

o Be responsible for cash handling and end-of-day balancing

o Have excellent attention to detail and ensure Insurance forms are signed by each patient
via Claimsure where applicable

o Work closely with Claims team to follow up with any claim forms not signed by patient on day of admission by posting out insurance form to patient and processing on Claimsure once received.

o Manage both internal and external post received daily

o Manage phone lines, voicemails

o Manage Radiology shared mailbox

o Monitor AGFA (RIS) for any referrals that cannot be vetted due to missing information, follow up with GP surgery and ask for information to be sent in to allow vetting completion

o Schedule upcoming weekly Xray clinics, follow up with medical secretaries ahead of clinics to ensure you receive the information in a timely manner to allow for clinic to be booked

o Monitor stock levels in Radiology reception and submit stationary order when needed

o Manage referrals received via Healthlink, email and post. Upload all referrals and submit them to be vetted

o To liaise with and maintain an excellent working relationship with other members of the hospital multi-disciplinary team ensuring a high level of patient service is maintained.

o Work as part of a team by supporting each other, sharing workload and covering each other during periods of absence.

o To perform such other duties appropriate to the post as may be assigned from time to time by the manager or nominee.

o To carry out any training duties as necessary for relief staff / work experience staff for holiday
cover.

Requirements:

Strong background in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with wide variety of internal and external agencies.
Ability to adapt to / learn new operational systems / software.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Excellent decision-making skills and the proven ability to take ownership of activities
Excellent numerical and organizational skills, with a high degree of accuracy/attention to detail
Strong analytical skills with the ability to fully comprehend the impact of decisions taken on both the operation and the wider business.
Excellent planning, co-ordination, monitoring, and evaluation skills

Salary: €29,620.19 - €44,554.60 per annum based on a 37.5 hour work week
