Cocoon Childcare is a leading Early Years childcare provider in Ireland, committed to providing high-quality care and education for children while creating a supportive, rewarding and inclusive environment for our employees.

As we continue to grow our network of services, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Recruiter to join our HR & Recruitment team and support the attraction and recruitment of talented Early Years professionals across our services.

The Role

The Recruiter will be responsible for managing the recruitment process from initial candidate attraction through to appointment and onboarding.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Early Years sector, including the roles, qualifications and staffing requirements within childcare services.

Spanish language skills would be highly desirable, particularly to support Cocoon's international recruitment and candidate engagement activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Candidate Management

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment campaigns for Early Years Educators, Room Leaders, AIM roles, Managers and other childcare positions.
  • Work closely with Centre Managers and the Operations Departement to understand current and future recruitment requirements.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, recruitment platforms, referrals, colleges and international recruitment channels.
  • Screen and shortlist candidates against role requirements and Early Years qualification criteria.
  • Conduct interviews
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Ensure candidates receive a positive and professional experience throughout the recruitment journey.

Early Years Sector Recruitment

  • Use knowledge of the Early Years sector to identify suitable candidates and assess their experience and suitability.
  • Develop relationships with Early Years educators, students, graduates and childcare professionals.
  • Build relationships with colleges, training providers and other relevant organisations.
  • Stay up to date with Early Years qualifications, recruitment trends and workforce requirements in Ireland.

International Recruitment

  • Support international recruitment campaigns, particularly across European markets.
  • Support recruitment events, college engagement and international candidate campaigns.
  • Spanish language skills would be an advantage when engaging with Spanish-speaking candidates and supporting recruitment activity in Spain.

Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment information.
  • Ensure recruitment activity is managed in line with Cocoon Childcare policies and relevant Early Years regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate the pre-employment process, including references, qualification checks and Garda Vetting.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working in recruitment, ideally within the Early Years / childcare sector.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years sector in Ireland.
  • Experience recruiting Early Years Educators and/or childcare professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong candidate relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple vacancies and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate administration skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a wider HR & Recruitment team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruitment/HR systems.

Desirable

  • Fluent Spanish language skills.
  • Experience recruiting internationally.
  • Experience working with Spanish-speaking candidates or recruitment markets.
  • Relevant qualification in HR, Recruitment, or Early Years.
  • Experience within a multi-site childcare organisation.
