Full job description

Little Scholars Montessori & Childcare is looking for an Afterschool Co-Ordinator to join our team, based in Rush, Co. Dublin.

We are offering a part time position of 22.5 hours per week – The hours will be 1.15pm – 5.45pm, Monday – Friday (38 weeks -term time)

9am-6pm for all school closures- 13 weeks of the year.

This role will be based within our Rush ASC service working with school aged children from 4- 12 years of age.

Salary – Competitive and based on experience

Roles & Responsibilities.
- Afterschool co-ordinator in our service catering for max, 24 children. There will always be a minimum of two adults on site.
- Ensure the safety, security and well-being of all children in your care.
- To assist in feeding the children a hot meal (food delivered fresh and needs heated).
- To take the lead on the structure of the classroom daily routine and functionality.
- To take the Lead with inspections as they arise.
- To cover the designated managerial classroom roles in the afternoon, such as First aid officer, Mandated person etc and be the point of contact for the school.
(The owner will be on hand to support as required).

The ideal candidate will have;
- A good understanding of all relative guidelines and Childcare Regulations.
-HACCP, FAR First Aid, Manual Handling and Child protection (all desirable but not essential).
- Experience in a similar role

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: €14.50-€16.00 per hour

Education:

  • Advanced/Higher Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

  • Afterschool : 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Minimum Level 5 in Early Years (preferred)
