Full job description

Due to ongoing expansion within our R&D department, we are seeking a R&D Technician to join us on a permanent basis.

You'll help test and develop our oil burners and boilers – setting up units on test rigs, running tests, and recording results. It's a practical, workshop-based role and full training will be provided.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Setting up and running tests on oil burners and boilers.
  • Using test equipment such as flue gas analysers and data loggers.
  • Recording test results and helping the team make sense of them.
  • Building and maintaining test rigs and prototypes.
  • Keeping the lab safe, tidy, and well organised.

What We're Looking For

  • Good practical skills – you're comfortable with hand tools, pipework, or wiring.
  • A qualification or trade background in a relevant area (e.g. mechanical, electrical, plumbing/heating) – or hands-on experience that shows you can do the job.
  • Attention to detail and a safety-conscious attitude.
  • A willingness to learn – experience with oil-fired appliances or lab testing is a bonus, but not essential.

If you don't tick every box, don't let that put you off – if you're practical, curious, and keen to learn, we'd love to hear from you. However, a trade qualification or experience is a MUST HAVE.

What We Offer

  • Full training and development on the job.
  • A stable Monday-to-Friday, laboratory-based working pattern.
  • The chance to work on new heating technologies with an established Irish manufacturer.
