Full job description

Responsibilities:

  • Sort packages correctly by route number, destination and other guidelines
  • Check that shipping labels match delivery instructions
  • Operate sorting machines, making sure to do so safely
  • Prepare packages for delivery, including wrapping and labeling
  • Coordinate with drivers to confirm all parcels are accounted for
  • Keep the sorting area clean and organized
  • Perform inventory checks and report any issues
  • Complete basic administrative tasks such as data entry
  • Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles when needed
  • Follow safety and company guidelines at all times

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills to interact with team members
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Physical strength to lift heavy parcels
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and data entry
  • Commitment to safety and following all guidelines
