General Operative – Landscaping

Pay: €15.00–€17.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Location: Based in Rathdrum, with travel to sites across Ireland

Avondale Landscapes is a leading commercial landscaping company working with county councils, civil contractors, and the construction industry across Ireland. We deliver high-quality landscaping and grounds maintenance services and are looking for motivated individuals to join our growing team as Tractor Driver / Landscape Operatives

What the Role Involves

The role will primarily involve operating tractors and similar machinery across commercial landscaping projects. On days when tractor work is not required, the successful candidate will work as part of the landscaping crew carrying out general site duties, planting, ground preparation, maintenance and related tasks. Applicants must hold a full driving licence, be reliable, capable of working as part of a team and have previous experience operating tractors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Key duties and responsibilities include operating tractors, trailers and other landscape machinery; transporting materials around sites; assisting with ground preparation, grading, seeding, planting and maintenance works and supporting the wider site team as required.

Requirements

  • Full valid driver’s licence (essential)
  • Have experience operating tractors or similar machinery
  • Good level of physical fitness and practical ability
  • Strong work ethic with a positive and reliable attitude
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Preferred but not essential:
  • Safe Pass certification
  • Manual Handling certification
  • CSCS Card

Pay and Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate: €15.00–€17.00 per hour (depending on experience)
