Full job description
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team and support daily kitchen operations. This role is suitable for someone who is reliable, hard-working and comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic cleaning tasks quickly and efficiently
- Clean and sanitise work surfaces, ovens, grills, sinks and stoves
- Keep floors, walls and kitchen areas clean and sanitised
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including peeling, chopping and washing produce
- Handle kitchen utensils and equipment carefully
- Unload and store food and kitchen supplies properly
- Keep storerooms, fridges and freezers clean and organised
- Wash cutlery, utensils, pots and pans
- Keep crockery clean and ready for service
- Remove kitchen waste and follow safety standards
- Work closely with kitchen staff to support smooth kitchen operations
Requirements:
- Able to work shifts between 11:00 am and midnight, Monday to Sunday
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Organised and able to work in a busy kitchen
- Follow hygiene and safety procedures
- Team player
- Physically fit for manual kitchen tasks
- Clear communication
- Attention to detail
- English required
Schedule:
- 8-hour, 10-hour or 12-hour shifts
