Full job description

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team and support daily kitchen operations. This role is suitable for someone who is reliable, hard-working and comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks quickly and efficiently
  • Clean and sanitise work surfaces, ovens, grills, sinks and stoves
  • Keep floors, walls and kitchen areas clean and sanitised
  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including peeling, chopping and washing produce
  • Handle kitchen utensils and equipment carefully
  • Unload and store food and kitchen supplies properly
  • Keep storerooms, fridges and freezers clean and organised
  • Wash cutlery, utensils, pots and pans
  • Keep crockery clean and ready for service
  • Remove kitchen waste and follow safety standards
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to support smooth kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • Able to work shifts between 11:00 am and midnight, Monday to Sunday
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Organised and able to work in a busy kitchen
  • Follow hygiene and safety procedures
  • Team player
  • Physically fit for manual kitchen tasks
  • Clear communication
  • Attention to detail
  • English required
Schedule:
  • 8-hour, 10-hour or 12-hour shifts
  • Weekday, weekend and holiday availability preferred
