Accounts Assistant

We are now seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the Finance Team at our Head Office in Santry, Dublin 9.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to Financial Controller, individual will perform back up support to the month end process including all relevant reconciliation’s to Trial Balance stage.
  • Implementation of internal control improvements required driving growing business.
  • Monitoring of current key performances indicators at all business locations i.e. Ringsend Waste Water Treatment Works & other sites.
  • Monitoring of Stock levels and monthly stock take.
  • Support Engineering manager in producing monthly cashflows and analysis of contract profitability on current projects.
  • RCT & VAT/Intrastat submissions to Irish Revenue
  • Maintenance of Fixed Assets Register
  • Implementation of IT enhancements required to Sage financial Systems.
  • Sage experience beneficial.
  • Very Good Excel Skills Important.
  • The individual will be based at Santry Central Office but will be expected to spend at least 1-2 days a week at the Ringsend Plant office location.
  • Support to Financial Controller in production of monthly financial reporting templates, budgets and other ad hoc financial reporting duties.

Essential Skills:

  • Part Qualified ACCA Student (2–3 papers completed) or a qualified Accounting Technician who is pursuing their ACCA exams.
  • - A minimum of 3-5 years accounting experience in accounts payable and at Assistant Accountant level.
  • - Experience in similar industry sector preferred.
  • - Previous audit background an advantage.
  • - IT Systems implementation experience an advantage.
  • - Revenue recognition experience.

Pay: €35,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
