Full job description

We're hiring a General Operative for a permanent electrical assembly role in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, building low-voltage switchgear panels. Pay is €15.15 to €18.15 per hour, plus overtime, and is paid weekly. Your pay goes up after 6 months, and there's a clear path to progress.

About the Role
As a General Operative / Assembler, you'll assemble, wire and fit low-voltage switchgear panels to engineering drawings, customer specifications and quality standards. You'll be part of a production team that works closely together, in a permanent job with long-term stability.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble switchgear panels, enclosures and sub-assemblies
  • Wire, cable and fit electrical components
  • Read and follow electrical drawings, schematics and bills of materials
  • Carry out basic testing and visual quality checks
  • Spot and report faults, missing components or discrepancies
  • Use hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely
  • Keep your work area clean and organised
  • Follow all Health & Safety and quality procedures
Must-haves
  • Experience as a General Operative or Assembler in switchgear, control panel or electrical manufacturing
  • Able to read and understand electrical drawings
  • Basic knowledge of electrical components and assembly processes
  • Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity
  • Eligible to work in Ireland
Nice-to-haves
  • Production or factory operative experience
  • Experience with basic electrical testing
  • Good working knowledge of workplace Health & Safety
Pay & Practicalities
  • €15.15 - €18.15 per hour, depending on experience
  • Overtime at 1.4x (€21.21 - €25.41) and 1.7x (€25.76 - €30.86)
