Irwin's Megastore is one of Munster's largest independent electrical retailers, with big, busy stores in Dungarvan and Midleton and a fast-growing online store at irwinsmegastore.ie. We're looking for a Junior Sales Assistant for our Dungarvan store — no experience needed, just the right attitude.

Here's the honest version of the role: one minute you're helping a customer choose their first washing machine, the next you're helping load a fridge into the back of their car. Then you're on the shop floor tidying displays, taking a phone call about a delivery, or giving the team a hand to shift stock in off a truck. We're an all-hands-in kind of shop — everyone here sells, lifts, carries, answers phones and mucks in, from the newest starter up. If you want a job where you stand behind a till all day, this isn't it. If you want one where the day flies, it is.

What you'll be doing:

  • Learning to sell — TVs, washing machines, fridges, cookers, small appliances. We'll teach you the products; you bring the personality.
  • Helping customers on the floor and on the phone — friendly, patient, genuinely helpful.
  • The physical side: loading appliances into customers' cars, moving stock, keeping the floor and displays sharp.
  • Backing up the team wherever the day needs you — deliveries in, web orders out, whatever's moving.

What we're looking for:

  • A genuine all-rounder attitude — happy to go from a sales conversation to lifting a washing machine without being asked twice.
  • Fit and comfortable safely moving heavy appliances (with equipment and a teammate — we don't do heroics).
  • Reliable, punctual, and available Saturdays.
  • Good with people — friendly and unflappable, even when a customer isn't.
  • No retail experience required. School leavers welcome. We hire for attitude and train the rest.

What you get:
