We are seeking a motivated Legal Executive to join the team. The role arises to replace an existing team member who is going to work out of one of our Australian offices.

As part of our Global Risks, Financial Lines and Commercial Litigation, you’ll be involved in meaningful, high‑quality work within a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.


This hybrid role offers the chance to work on complex matters for a wide range of clients; ideal for someone looking to develop their skills and experience in a challenging and rewarding setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Liaising directly with counsel (barristers) and external experts in relation to case progression.
  • Conducting detailed legal research, analysis, and preparation of briefing notes
  • Managing and reviewing large volumes of documentation as part of eDiscovery exercises.
  • Attending court with instructed counsel to assist with the progression of matters on the day.
  • Drafting correspondence to clients, opposing solicitors, and third parties.
  • Drafting pleadings and other court documents for lodgement in the High Court and Commercial Court.
  • Maintaining accurate and organised file management systems to ensure efficient case handling support.
  • Managing workflows and proactively monitoring deadlines.
  • Preparing matters for hearing, including compiling and organising court booklets and trial bundles.
  • Drafting briefs for counsel and assisting with case strategy and hearing preparation.
  • Supporting the day-to-day case management.
  • Assisting with client communication and ensuring a high standard of client service is maintained throughout the lifecycle of each file.
  • Contributing to billing narratives, cost tracking, and overall matter management.
  • Attending on Counsel at motions and hearings.
What will help you succeed in this role?:

Essential

  • Previous experience working in Litigation, particularly Global Risks/Financial Lines.
  • Exceptional knowledge in Discovery.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and using case management software.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

  • Experience including insurance and litigation, preferably with exceptional knowledge of complex commercial litigation and the Commercial Court.
  • Strong knowledge of the Irish legal system.
