Our teams work in a highly automated, high-volume manufacturing environment, focused on safety, innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

This is a shift-based role. Candidates must be able to work on a monthly rotating shift pattern. Exact shift details will be shared during the interview stage.

Responsibilities/What you'll do:

As an Experienced Manufacturing Technician at Intel Ireland, you will support wafer manufacturing operations in a high-volume semiconductor environment. You will bring strong technical capability in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support, while helping to maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing performance.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform functions associated with all aspects of wafer production, including manufacturing operations, equipment handling, and process-related activities.

  • Support equipment operation within the manufacturing area to meet safety, quality, output, and cost targets.

  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment in a regulated environment.

  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, complete repairs, and support defect reduction activities.

  • Use technical manuals, specifications, drawings, diagrams, schematics, and verbal instructions to perform assigned tasks.

  • Apply structured problem-solving techniques and use appropriate tools and test equipment to address production and equipment challenges.

  • Support installation, repair, operation, and performance improvement of manufacturing equipment.

  • Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to resolve technical issues and improve equipment reliability.

  • Help drive operational and maintenance improvements within your assigned area.

  • Contribute to a team culture focused on inclusion, diversity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Support business needs that may require travel on assignment for varying durations.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

Candidates must have a relevant technical qualification in an approved Science or Engineering discipline which would include but not exclusively:

  • A National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Level 6 or Level 7 qualification in a technical discipline, or a recognised trade qualification in Electrical, Plumbing, or Instrumentation.

  • 4+ years of experience in technical, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biomedical, or medical device manufacturing.

  • 4+ years of hands-on preventative and corrective maintenance experience in a regulated environment.

  • 4+ years of experience in electronics, equipment troubleshooting, installation, repair, and operation in a regulated environment.



In addition, viable candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing business needs.

  • A proactive approach to driving operational and maintenance improvements.

Preferred Experience:

The following would be an advantage:

  • Hands-on maintenance experience with semiconductor equipment.

  • Experience influencing the creation of new specifications, procedures, and business processes related to equipment maintenance.

  • Knowledge of process control systems.

  • Experience troubleshooting using schematics and complex diagrams.

  • Experience establishing and supporting a work environment focused on continuous improvement.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing disciplines, including high precision maintenance and smart place work organization.

  • Experience maintaining vacuum systems, precision mechanical equipment, or RF systems

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.

Annual Salary Range for this job which could be performed in Ireland is: €39,800.00 - €62,200.00

The compensation range shown in this job posting represents the minimum and maximum target compensation for this position. Within this range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, relevant education or training. As part of our total compensation approach, the final offer may include additional pay components, shift differentials and benefits. Your recruiting team will share the confirmed base salary along with any applicable total compensation elements upon employment offer delivery.
