This newly created Financial Analyst job in Westmeath joins a 20+ person FP&A team with a global remit. Easily commutable from Roscommon, Offaly, Longford, East Galway and East Mayo, you will work onsite 2 days a week supporting Finance Business Partners with cost centre budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will:
- Analyse monthly spend across cost centres based in Ireland and overseas and complete a variance analysis of actual spend vs budgeted spend to be reviewed by the Finance Business Partners
- Engage with budget owners to understand variance drivers so you can put measures in place to mitigate variances occurring again
- Provide commentary on why variances occurred for inclusion in the monthly board pack
- Work with the GL team after month-end close and repost corrective journals related to projects in your cost centres
- Utilise SAP to track project costs from PO to the P&L, journal posting and reporting
- Work across a variety of projects and departments including contributing to sustainability impact reporting on emissions reductions, IT projects, regulatory affairs and HR department spend
- Assist the Finance BPs and Finance Manager with preparation of the annual budget for the following fiscal year

The package on offer is €55,000-€65,000 including base salary, bonus, pension, health insurance cover, life assurance, annual pay reviews and hybrid working.
To become the Financial Analyst you will hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience working in a large Irish company, including accountancy practices, or multinational businesses.
