Machine Operator jobs

Abellio Production Ltd is a fast-growing new start up paper production company set up in Kells, Co. Meath. We are recruiting for a full-time Packing Quality Operator to join our rotating shifts.

Our working environment is within a clean room facility, conditioned temperature at 21 degrees, canteen with fresh ground coffee machine equal to any café, relaxed and supportive management style.

The Role:

The purpose of the role is to ensure that products are manufactured and packed in compliance with Abellio Productions Quality Standard. The goal is to achieve the highest possible output of quality cones on your shift..

Shift Patterns: Mornings 5:45am-2pm & Afternoons, 1:45-10pm - Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to the company’s Health and Safety and Ethical conduct guidelines and maintain a working environment which is supportive and respectful of other employees.
• Carry out pre and postproduction checks on machinery and work stations
• Clean down of machines as per shift changeover checklist.
• Ensure machine and environment are handed over to next shift in good condition
• Conduct Quality control checks on products and packed finished goods throughout your shift.
• Using Short Interval Control procedures, identify and report any defects to
• Machine Operator and assess remedial actions
• Complete data entry and log quality defects as required
• Ensure that correct packaging materials are used
• Carry out line clearances where required
• Ensuring packaging materials are available and replenished for incoming shift
• Training of new Packaging Operators
• Maintain a clean and safe production and working environment
• Any other duties reasonably assigned to you

Salary:

• €28,500 per annum, paid monthly
• Overtime is payable at time and half after 40 hours per week.

Requirements:

• Work authorization visa.
• 1 experience in actual packaging process
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills with established interpersonal skills.
• Reasonable level of computer literacy.
• Demonstrates ability to follow direction and work with only moderate supervision.
• Proven attention to detail.
