Job description
Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain robotic machines and automated systems to ensure continuous and efficient production.
  • Conduct fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
  • Perform routine inspections, calibration, and preventative maintenance on robotic systems.
  • Develop and optimise process workflows to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, maintenance, quality) to resolve technical issues.
  • Document process changes, machine performance, and incident reports in line with company standards.
  • Provide technical support and training for operators and technicians on robotic machinery.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to upgrades and system enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards & policies and procedures.

The Person
Ideal candidates will have

  • Degree or vocational qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related field.
  • Multi-skilled background with knowledge across mechanical systems, electrical controls, sensors, actuators, and PLCs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and preventative measures.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation, CNC, or manufacturing systems is highly desirable.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and capable of working across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of project management best practice tools and techniques
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within food or similar industry·
  • Proven project management experience ·
  • Highly effective at interpreting CAD drawings, for electrical, mechanical and facilities
