Full job description

We are hiring a Production / Machine Operator to join our team in a busy steel fabrication workshop in Westmeath. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with manufacturing experience or a motivated individual looking to build skills in an industrial environment.

Key Duties

  • Operating production machinery safely and efficiently
  • Loading and unloading materials using a forklift and gantry crane
  • Handling steel materials and components
  • Carrying out basic quality checks
  • Assisting with general workshop and fabrication duties when required
  • Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets

Requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or fabrication an advantage
  • Forklift licence preferred (training can be considered)
  • Comfortable working in a factory environment
  • Good computer literacy
  • Ability to follow job sheets and instructions
  • Strong attitude to safety and teamwork

Desirable (not essential)

  • Steel fabrication experience
  • Experience with overhead cranes
  • Basic CAD or drawing familiarity

This role would suit someone experienced or a reliable, practical individual keen to learn and progress.
