About Us

EuroSTAR Conferences has over 30 years’ experience delivering the largest and most international software testing conference in Europe. Based in Galway, we run high-quality events across Europe and engage a global community through online platforms and virtual events.

About the Role

This is a 9-month fixed-term contract. We are looking for a proactive and sales-focused professional who can identify new business opportunities, engage potential clients, and manage leads effectively. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build lasting client relationships are essential. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, an excellent communicator, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify new business opportunities within the software testing, quality engineering and technology sectors.
  • Generate, qualify and nurture leads through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn and other prospecting activities.
  • Manage selected team ticket opportunities from initial enquiry through to booking, including quotations, follow-up and sales administration.
  • Support the promotion and sale of sponsor and exhibitor packages for EuroSTAR and AutomationSTAR.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales funnels, trackers and reports, and contribute to agreed sales and revenue goals.
  • Provide account support to confirmed sponsors and exhibitors, including coordinating package benefits, marketing activations, event information and key deadlines.
  • Work with the Marketing, Web, Community and Design teams to deliver sponsor and exhibitor promotions.
  • Support EXPO administration and onsite delivery, including registrations, exhibitor communications, operational planning and post-event follow-up.
  • Attend and support AutomationSTAR and EuroSTAR.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years’ experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
  • Proven ability to generate and manage new business opportunities.
  • Confident making cold and warm sales calls.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commercially minded with a proactive approach.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in CRM systems, Excel, Microsoft 365, and LinkedIn.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.

Desirable

  • Experience in events, conference, exhibition, or sponsorship sales.
  • Experience in the technology or software sector.
  • Experience supporting B2B clients or commercial partners.
  • Relevant third-level qualification.
