About Us

Home and Away Care is a provider of Homecare services on behalf of the HSE and privately. We offer Homecare to all ages.

We are managed by a medical and nursing team. We are currently recruiting 5 Homecare Support/Care Coordinators. Salary will depend on experience/qualifications

Note: We are not currently in a position to offer sponsorship for this position or to facilitate the application for a job permit to non-EU/EEA citizens.

Note: Applicants must have at least 6 - 12 months experience working in the Irish Healthcare system, with experience in providing direct personal care to patients/clients as well as care co-ordination in a Healthcare setting and ideally in Homecare.

The positions are full time with a mix of in office and field work.

Summary: This role requires Caregiving/Assisting individuals with daily living activities, Care Co-ordinating 10 -20 Clients and Healthcare Assistants. Supporting our Healthcare assistants and advocating for the client's health, social needs and independence.

The Homecare Support/Care Co-ordinator will:

  • Assist the Care Manager and Scheduler in Co-ordinating the Client and Carer scheduling.
  • Support the client and family and advocate on their behalf when necessary.
  • Provide direct personal care for clients
  • Report on any concerns regarding the wellbeing of the client
  • Provide support and guidance for the Homecare Assistants
  • Available for weekend work and on call on a rota basis.

Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide a friendly and professional service to staff, clients and their families
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all staff, clients and their families and with the local and area HSE Health and Social Care Services personnel
  • Ensure all data is managed in accordance with GDPR guidelines and regulations
  • Keep up to date Client and Carer records
  • Provide administration and Care support and other duties as assigned

Our Ideal Candidate will have-

A Nursing background or a QQI Level 5 Major Award in Homecare support or equivalent

QQI Level 6 in Healthcare Supervision

Experience in care coordinating in a homecare company or similar

Office administration with good computer skills

Good organisational skills

Ability to work under pressure and as a team player

Strong oral and written communication skills

A caring and compassionate nature

Pay: €37,498.00-€40,560.00 per year
