Community Nurse (Nationwide)
Location: Nationwide (Community / Homecare Setting)
Reporting To: Nurse Manager

About the Role

We are currently recruiting Community Nurses nationwide to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to children and adults with complex medical needs in their own homes.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a stable, one-to-one environment, supporting clients to live as independently as possible while receiving excellent clinical care within their local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to clients with complex medical needs in a homecare setting
  • Work collaboratively with families and the wider care team to ensure all client needs are met
  • Support clients to live independently and actively participate in their home and community
  • Build positive, professional relationships that enhance the client’s quality of life
  • Assist with all aspects of daily living, including personal care and hygiene
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care plans
  • Maintain accurate and professional clinical documentation
  • Adhere to all clinical governance standards, policies, and procedures
  • Follow evidence-based practice in line with NMBI guidelines
  • Identify and respond to risks, incidents, and complaints appropriately
  • Support and guide Healthcare Assistants within the care team
  • Participate in mandatory training and continuous professional development
  • Communicate effectively with the Nurse Manager regarding clinical updates

Essential Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (General, Children’s, or Intellectual Disability)
  • Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
  • Experience in paediatric and/or adult care
  • Previous homecare experience desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexible and adaptable approach
  • Full clean driver’s licence (desirable)
  • Strong commitment to person-centred care
