Quality Assurance & Education Coordinator

Part-Time (c. 20 Hours Per Week)

Marymount, Westmantown | September 2026

Are you a Registered Nurse passionate about quality, education and developing people?

Marymount is seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Assurance & Education Coordinator to join our Management Team on a part-time basis (approximately 20 hours per week).

For over 35 years, Marymount has provided long-term residential, convalescence, respite and palliative care to our community. Our 140 residents receive high-quality, nurse-led, person-centred care from a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to have a meaningful impact across the organisation, leading and supporting quality assurance, staff education, professional development and continuous improvement.

Working closely with the Director of Nursing and management team, you will:

· Lead and support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Conduct audits and support compliance with HIQA standards, legislation and internal policies.

· Analyse findings and support managers with action plans and practice development.

· Coordinate staff induction, orientation and ongoing development.

· Develop and deliver engaging in-house education and practical skills training.

· Evaluate training effectiveness and maintain staff training records.

· Support incident reviews and develop targeted education to promote learning and prevent recurrence.

· Coach and support staff and managers in promoting best practice and excellence in resident care.

About You

You will be:

· A Registered Nurse with NMBI.

· Experienced in training, education and/or quality improvement, ideally within healthcare or long-term care.

· Knowledgeable in HIQA requirements, healthcare standards and adult learning principles.

· An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills.

· Passionate about staff development, quality improvement and person-centred care.

· Confident working collaboratively as a member of the Management Team.
