About the Role

St Vincent's Private Hospital is seeking motivated Staff Nurses to join its inpatient ward teams. The successful candidates will deliver comprehensive, holistic nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions.

Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, Staff Nurses will provide expert care to medical and post-operative surgical patients, supporting them throughout their hospital journey from admission through to discharge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic nursing care to medical and post-operative surgical patients
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualised care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards
  • Support discharge planning and provide patient and family education
  • Collaborate effectively with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Promote dignity, privacy, and respect in all aspects of patient care
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives

Essential Criteria

  • NMBI Registered General Nurse (adaptation not available)
  • Recent experience in acute medical or surgical nursing
  • Strong organisational and clinical skills
