Vetting and Compliance Officer
Vetting and Compliance Officer
Job details
Full job description
Behind every healthcare professional we place stands a compliance file that has been carefully checked, verified and approved. We are seeking a Vetting and Compliance Officer to take ownership of that work at our Dublin 2 office, with a flexible contract, full training and genuine scope to progress.
About Emerald Nursing
Emerald Nursing is an independent specialist healthcare staffing agency. Through our two divisions, Emerald Nursing and Emerald Locums, we place registered nurses, midwives, healthcare assistants, social care workers, locum doctors, non-consultant hospital doctors and allied health professionals with hospitals, disability services and care providers across Ireland. Our leadership brings more than twenty years of experience in healthcare staffing across Ireland and the UK. We are a licensed employment agency (Licence No. 4154), and our reputation rests on the quality and integrity of every professional we place. Compliance sits at the centre of that commitment.
The role
You will manage the vetting and compliance process for candidates across both divisions, ensuring every professional is fully cleared before they begin work with our clients. Your work will include processing Garda vetting through the National Vetting Bureau e-vetting system and international police clearances, verifying registrations with NMBI, CORU and the Medical Council, and checking identity, right to work, references, occupational health clearance and mandatory training.
You will keep every compliance file complete and audit-ready, track renewal dates so that no document expires unnoticed, and work closely with our recruitment and bookings teams so that compliant candidates are ready for work without delay. A large part of the role involves speaking with nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals by phone and email, guiding them through each requirement with patience and clarity.
For many candidates, you will be their first point of contact with Emerald Nursing, and the care you bring to those conversations shapes how they see us.
About you
You will bring some experience in compliance, vetting, HR, recruitment or a detail-focused administrative role. Experience within healthcare or a staffing agency, or with Vincere or a similar applicant tracking system, is an advantage but not essential, as full training is provided on the job.
You are meticulous and well organised, you treat confidential information with discretion, and you take pride in work that is accurate and complete.
You communicate courteously and confidently, and you are comfortable working across Microsoft Office and online systems. Applicants must have the right to work in Ireland.
Hours and pay
This is a flexible contract with a minimum of 20 hours per week. We are looking for someone with capacity to work up to five days per week when required.
The role is based entirely at our office on Pembroke Street Upper, Dublin 2, a short walk from St Stephen's Green and the Luas Green Line.
The rate is €14.15 per hour, with comprehensive on-the-job training from your first day. Your future with Emerald Nursing Healthcare compliance is a specialist discipline, and the expertise you develop here is valued throughout the Irish healthcare sector. We are a growing business, and we believe in developing our own people.
For the right person, this role is a genuine starting point, with the opportunity to progress into senior compliance, recruitment, bookings and client-facing positions across Emerald Nursing and Emerald Locums.
How to apply
If you are organised, precise and ready to build a career in healthcare compliance, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Please apply through Indeed with your CV.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to meet our team at our Pembroke Street office. Emerald Nursing is an equal opportunities employer
