What You'll Do
As our Environment, Health & Safety Officer, you'll play a key role in fostering a culture of safety across the business of CWS Cleanrooms.
You will:
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments (experience with chemical risks is a plus).
- Lead accident and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are identified and implemented.
- Deliver engaging safety training programs (including manual handling).
- Maintain up-to-date training records, safety statements, and documentation.
- Liaise with insurers, consultants, and stakeholders on all H&S matters.
- Support continuous improvement through regular safety audits and reporting.
- Provide H&S inductions for new staff and subcontractors.
- Drive safety culture as part of an international H&S Team at CWS Cleanrooms
What You'll Bring
- Relevant Degree in Health & Safety (or related field)
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar EHS role.
- A full, clean driver's licence.
- Certified Manual Handling Instructor an advantage but not essential.
- Strong background in risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience with online management systems an advantage).
- A positive, proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Role Details
Location: Galway Head Office / Limerick or Dublin- Travel: Occasional travel to client sites - flexibility is key.
