Full job description
Croom Medical is an industry-leading outsourcing partner for the design and manufacture of orthopedic implants, serving global medical device companies for over 40 years.
Right now is one of the most exciting times to join. Our R&D team is developing implant technologies that have never been done before, including TALOS™, our tantalum additive manufacturing platform, which won the Innovation in Engineering Award at the 2025 Irish Engineering Excellence Awards. We have just broken ground on a new €18 million purpose-built manufacturing and R&D facility, and our team has tripled since 2021.
That growth sits behind an ambitious international plan, and we are investing in our marketing to match it: building awareness in target markets and strengthening lead generation to support our growth objectives. For this marketing role, we are seeking a passionate self-starter who will help drive that next chapter and become part of Croom Medical's success story.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
-
Develop, execute and measure Croom Medical's annual marketing plan with the leadership team, tracking KPIs to grow brand awareness and drive the sales pipeline.
-
Deliver market research on opportunities, customers and competitors with the technical and commercial teams, and keep the sales team informed.
-
Build compelling brand assets across online and offline channels, including sales enablement materials, brochures, presentations, videos, photography, digital campaigns, social media and case studies.
-
Own PR and media relations, securing trade and local coverage and managing paid placements, and write the press releases and content that build Croom Medical's reputation.
-
Manage social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, X), keeping them active and on-brand.
-
Maintain the website and build SEO and SEM strategies, using analytics and tools such as Google Ads to maximize reach.
-
Maintain the customer database (CRM) for marketing communications, integrated with digital channels.
-
Plan and deliver Croom Medical's presence at international trade shows and customer events (e.g. OMTEC), owning all event management including logistics, freight and customs paperwork.
-
Launch new products and services through integrated campaigns that raise awareness and generate demand, with the engineering and sales teams.
-
Deliver the customer experience and touchpoint program across existing and new facilities, in line with brand guidelines.
-
Manage campaign budgets and purchasing, and secure grants and funding (e.g. Enterprise Ireland)
-
Manage external service providers, agencies and trade media, and run business awards entries.
-
Lead internal communications and host webinars to keep the team aligned and position Croom Medical as an expert voice.
Key Skills and Competencies:
-
Degree in Marketing, Business and/or related field of study. -
Experience of working in a marketing role, ideally with a minimum of 2+ years' experience in a technical B2B environment. Medical Device or Life Sciences industry experience a distinct advantage.
-
Excellent Microsoft Office, Adobe, Google Analytics and Google Ads skills.
-
Website CMS skills desirable, with a preference for WordPress experience. A keen eye for design and detail is required, and additional skills in digital content creation (e.g. graphic and video software such as Canva, CapCut or Premiere Pro) are an advantage.
-
Experience in the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns in relevant social media channels (e.g. LinkedIn) required.
-
Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver tradeshow events, with international experience an advantage.
-
Excellent communication, organization and management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships internally and externally. You are a team player.
-
Responsive and agile, you get things done and you want to make an impact, breaking new ground as you progress.
