Full job description

Excellent opportunity to join a global supply chain transformation programme as a Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Supply Planning Transformation Specialist on a contract basis. This is a remote opportunity with a contract running until 31 December 2027, offering the chance to play a key role in transforming supply planning processes across a global pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing network, with approximately 25% travel across European sites and the US.

The role sits within a dedicated deployment team responsible for implementing an integrated planning model across 23 global manufacturing sites. The programme will focus on system-driven planning, standardised manufacturing and supply planning processes, and clearly defined roles and responsibilities across site, global supply planning and brand teams.

As a Supply Planning Transformation Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the end-to-end deployment of a global supply planning transformation programme across assigned pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing sites
  • Partnering with site leadership, supply chain teams and cross-functional stakeholders to implement a new Target Operating Model (TOM)
  • Assessing site readiness, identifying gaps against the target state and developing site-specific deployment plans
  • Driving the adoption of standardised supply planning processes, system-driven production scheduling and new ways of working within regulated manufacturing environments
  • Coordinating project activities, managing deployment timelines and ensuring key milestones are achieved
  • Delivering training, coaching and capability-building sessions to support site supply planning teams through the transformation
  • Tracking deployment progress, monitoring KPIs and reporting risks, issues and capability gaps to the Deployment Lead
  • Influencing stakeholders across supply chain, manufacturing, operations and global teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation
  • Identifying and addressing barriers to adoption, ensuring new processes are embedded and sustained beyond deployment
  • Capturing lessons learned and supporting continuous improvement across the wider global deployment programme
  • Preparing sites for post-deployment sustainability and the transition out of hypercare

The ideal Supply Planning Transformation Specialist will have:

  • 5–7 years of experience in supply planning, production planning or manufacturing scheduling within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry
  • A strong understanding of manufacturing planning processes and the challenges associated with supply planning in regulated manufacturing environments
  • Proven experience in supply chain transformation, process standardisation or target operating model implementation
  • Experience leading projects or driving initiatives across multiple functions, with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct line management responsibility
  • Strong project coordination skills, including managing timelines, milestones, risks and deliverables
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, training and change management capabilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process gaps and implement practical solutions
  • Experience with planning and scheduling systems such as SAP, Infor Finite or Blue Yonder
  • The ability to work independently in a remote environment while engaging regularly with international manufacturing sites
  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related discipline

What's on offer:

  • Contract until 31 December 2027
  • Remote working with flexibility to support international manufacturing sites
  • Approximately 25% travel across European sites and the US, depending on project requirements
  • Opportunity to join a dedicated transformation team of five, including a Deployment Lead and four Specialists
  • Exposure to a major global supply chain transformation programme spanning 23 pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing sites
  • The opportunity to influence planning processes, systems and operating models across an international manufacturing network
  • A collaborative, cross-functional environment with significant exposure to global supply chain transformation within the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors
  • Two-stage virtual interview process
