Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician – Medical Devices to join a Quality Assurance team in a regulated manufacturing environment in Sligo.

This is an initial 12-month contract supporting a Product Transfer project, offering the opportunity to contribute to key quality activities while ensuring products and processes meet stringent regulatory and quality standards.

There is also potential to extend the contract and transition into a broader Quality and Operations support role following the project, subject to business requirements and headcount availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Team in achieving site quality objectives and maintaining high standards of product quality and compliance.
• Perform incoming, in-process and final product testing in accordance with approved specifications and procedures.
• Support activities across Quality Control (QC), Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) and Metrology, as required.
• Maintain accurate, complete and compliant Quality System documentation and manufacturing batch records.
• Support change management activities, including the review and updating of product and quality documentation.
• Identify, document and escalate quality events, deviations and potential product or process issues.
• Support incoming material disposition decisions and ensure compliance with relevant specifications.
• Assist with Quality System audits, management reporting, performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to cross-functional teams and cost improvement projects where required.
• Maintain compliance with cGMP, applicable ISO/FDA requirements, company procedures and training requirements.
• Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) procedures, report incidents and near misses, and promote a safe working environment.

What We’re Looking For

• A background in Quality Assurance, supported by relevant education, training or practical experience.
• At least one year of experience working in a regulated GMP environment.
• Experience in the day-to-day operation of a quality system within medical device, combination product or similarly regulated manufacturing is highly desirable.
• A third-level qualification in a relevant discipline is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of SAP and AQL.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and a commitment to getting things right first time.
• The ability to follow procedures, identify potential issues and escalate concerns appropriately.
• A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to adapt to changing processes.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
