Independent College, established in 2007, is a private third-level institution located in the heart of Dublin's business and tech district. It offers QQI-validated undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, with a strong focus on Business, Marketing, Digital Business, Accounting, Finance, and Law.
The College is currently inviting applications for a full-time Lecturer in Management for the academic year commencing August 2026. This role will contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of business education across a range of programmes, supporting students in developing strong foundations in leadership, management, innovation, professional skills, and applied business practice.
The successful candidate will teach across a range of business modules, prepare assessments and grades, develop curriculum and programme-related materials, supervise undergraduate applied business projects, and contribute to the continued development of business education within the School of Business.
Indicative Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver high-quality teaching in Management across undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes within the School of Business.
· Design, prepare, and deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and other learning activities in alignment with institutional policies and quality standards.
· Prepare assessments and grading that align with programme learning outcomes and QQI requirements.
· Supervise undergraduate applied business projects and provide appropriate academic guidance.
· Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, students, and relevant external stakeholders.
· Engage in continuous professional development to enhance subject expertise and teaching effectiveness.
· Innovate in teaching practice through the integration of digital tools, blended learning approaches, and inclusive pedagogies.
· Contribute to the design, development, and review of new and existing programmes, ensuring alignment with academic standards and evolving industry requirements.
· Support the ongoing enhancement of programme quality through participation in internal quality assurance, validation, and review processes where required.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
· A Level 9 master's degree in Business, Management, or a closely related discipline with relevant lecturing and/or industry experience.
In addition, candidates must demonstrate:
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
· Strong digital literacy, including proficiency in virtual learning environments (e.g., Moodle) and educational technologies.
· A proactive and self-directed approach, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
· A commitment to continuous professional development and active engagement with the wider academic and professional community.
Applicants should have knowledge and lecture experience to teach modules in the following areas:
