The Role
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Doctor to join our expanding medical team across our
Dublin base clinics. This role offers an excellent opportunity for doctors who are interested in developing specialist experience in travel and tropical medicine, with full in-house training provided.
You will work in a well-supported clinic environment alongside experienced nurses and
administrative staff, delivering high-quality travel health consultations and vaccinations.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Advisory Duties
Acting as a medical adviser to individuals and groups attending travel vaccination clinics.
Conducting travel health consultations tailored to individual itineraries and risk profiles.
Prescribing vaccines and travel-related medications appropriate to patient needs.
Clinical Governance & Knowledge
Ensuring compliance with vaccine administration protocols and best clinical practice.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current travel health guidance, disease risks, and
vaccination requirements.
Working collaboratively with the wider clinical and administrative team to ensure excellent
patient care.
Training & Support
Comprehensive in-house training in travel and tropical medicine
Ongoing clinical support and access to updated guidance and resources
A structured and supportive environment — ideal for doctors new to travel medicine
Essential Requirements
- Current Irish Medical Council (IMC) registration
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Ability to work confidently in a busy clinical setting
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Confident computer skills and ability to work with clinical systems
Desirable
- Interest or previous experience in travel or tropical medicine
Working Hours
Part-time role (Minimum 2 days per week)
Typically, 8-hour shifts
Monday to Friday
Based across Dublin clinic locations
