Vhi Health & Wellbeing DAC is currently recruiting for a temporary part-time (0.5) Urgent Care Physician position at our Swords clinic on a 1-year contract. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care, ensuring the highest standards of clinical quality, safety, and professionalism in a dynamic healthcare environment.

What will you do:
- Provide care to patients presenting with a range of urgent care presentations.
- Minor injuries; including: sprains, fractures and wounds.
- Facilitating referrals to specialists.
- Initial interpretation of x-rays and ECG’s.
- Indicate any procedures done.
- Treat patients who attend the clinic for consultation.
Education & Experience
- Registered with the Irish Medical Council.
- Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in clinical practice, including significant experience in a general practice in a community setting and 2 years of recent urgent care/ minor trauma/A&E experience.
- Training in ED / GP or other postgraduate qualification would be highly beneficial.
- 6 months experience with paediatric patients is desirable.
- Flexibility across a 7 day roster.
- BLS.
- Patient/customer focused.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good knowledge of risk management and clinical audit.
- Demonstrated alignment to Vhi values.
