Role Title: Urgent Care Physician
Location: Swords
Contract: Temporary (1 year) , Part Time (0.5)

Vhi Health & Wellbeing DAC is currently recruiting for a temporary part-time (0.5) Urgent Care Physician position at our Swords clinic on a 1-year contract. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care, ensuring the highest standards of clinical quality, safety, and professionalism in a dynamic healthcare environment.

What will you do:
  • Provide care to patients presenting with a range of urgent care presentations.
  • Minor injuries; including: sprains, fractures and wounds.
  • Facilitating referrals to specialists.
  • Initial interpretation of x-rays and ECG’s.
  • Indicate any procedures done.
  • Treat patients who attend the clinic for consultation.
What you need to be successful:
Education & Experience
  • Registered with the Irish Medical Council.
  • Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in clinical practice, including significant experience in a general practice in a community setting and 2 years of recent urgent care/ minor trauma/A&E experience.
  • Training in ED / GP or other postgraduate qualification would be highly beneficial.
  • 6 months experience with paediatric patients is desirable.
  • Flexibility across a 7 day roster.
  • BLS.

  • Good knowledge of risk management and clinical audit.
