The Opportunity
You will be joining a leading Irish building main contractor committed to the highest standards of safety, quality and sustainability with an earned reputation for delivering outstanding quality projects which meet and exceed our client’s expectations. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented Graduate / Junior Quantity Surveyor to help manage the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. The successful candidate will help to ensure cost control, value engineering, and commercial risk management across all phases of the project lifecycle and will play a pivotal part in delivering high-profile projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders. The candidate will engage with and complete the CPD Training Programmes as set out by the Company, as an IEI CPD Accredited Employer.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, this QS role will involve:
Assistance in the commercial QS management of your projects in conjunction with the Senior QS.
Assistance in efficient & timely management of the subcontractor procurement process.
Assistance in the management of subcontractor appointment and accounts.
Assistance in the management of subcontractor payments.
The Candidate
You will be degree qualified in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying.
You will have good organisational and time management skills.
You will be highly motivated and eager to learn.
You will have strong attention to detail and accuracy.
You will be a Team Player, with the ability to work independently when required.
You will have gained some relevant work experience through internship or placements (preferred but not essential).
You will have a professional attitude and commitment to ethical standards.
