Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work collaboratively with our Client to ensure full compliance with all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation and industry standards.

  • Prepare and review Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and other EHS documentation.

  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled EHS audits, inspections, and incident investigations and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.

  • Provide ongoing advice to Project Management teams on EHS best practices, ensuring a proactive safety culture across all sites.

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver EHS-related training, including Toolbox Talks and site inductions as required.

  • Monitor, analyse, and report on EHS performance metrics, highlighting trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Support the EHS Department with administrative duties, document control, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Assist in maintaining and developing the company’s EHS Management System, ensuring policies and procedures are up to date and effectively implemented.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Completed or currently be undertaking a recognised qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

  • Experience in the construction sector; however, this is not essential as full training will be provided.

  • Experience working within pharmaceutical, medical technology, or other highly regulated environments is desirable but not required.

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with site teams, clients, and external stakeholders.

  • Be proactive, adaptable, and committed to promoting a safe working environment and a customer-focused approach.

  • Possess strong IT skills, particularly within Microsoft Word, Excel, and general reporting tools.

  • Show a willingness to learn, develop professionally, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the EHS function.

Weltec offers a competitive salary, ongoing professional development, and a supportive environment where you can grow your career in EHS. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide range of projects, systems, and compliance frameworks, making this an ideal role for someone looking to establish a strong foundation in the EHS profession.
