As part of our development, Socomore Ireland is looking for a:
Logistics and Planning Administrator
PERMANENT FULL-TIME (38 hrs / wk over 4 days), site based
Currently, 38-hour week ( 7am-5pm Mon-Thurs, with 3 day weekend )
[Rare, Occasional Friday work required when shut-down projects need to be facilitated]

Your future position:
The logistics and planning administrator works within the supply chain team and is responsible for ensuring that factory supply and logistics demands are met so that customer orders can be achieved on time and in-full in adherence to our strict quality standards.
Responsibilities: Main Tasks (in general but not limited to)
● Supply Chain Logistics Administration.
● Shipping (dispatch) fulfilment including shipping docs and DGN’s preparation.
● Assisting Supply Chain Manager in all functions to achieve effective flow from planning, through materials receiving, logistics, to shipping as the interface between Supply Chain and collaborators.
● Ensuring control of stock movements within the warehouse and supply of materials to production stations as WIP, to facilitate conversion of materials to finished goods by the production department.
● Data inputs/system transactions on ERP to facilitate flow of materials through all processes.
● Planning Function Support as general intra-team cover (during periods of short-term absences)
Skills Requirement :
● Administrative coordination of supply chain and production teams & performance measurement
● Assisting in design and choice of procedures and actions to be implemented in relevant field
● Ability to detect failures and anomalies, proposing solutions in line with objectives and within means
● Networking & Influencing ability
● Teamwork mindset and commitment to the team and adaptability to changing circumstances
● Understanding of the methodology of negotiation and developing a growing ability to negotiate
● Developing a working ability to engage in the techniques of purchasing.
● Developing ability to analyse and resolve disputes re: provisioning, supplies and shipments.
● Understanding processes of purchasing, planning, warehousing, production, packaging & logistics.
● Understanding the technical aspects of shipping and logistics and master production planning.
● Developing a working knowledge of transportation regulations & restrictions on packaging & shipping
● Understanding the technical aspects of planning and purchasing.
● Ability to translate order demand into a materials supply (planned procurement) / production / shipping schedule to achieve product supply in line with customer or internal demands.
● Mastering the control of physical flows and their transactional flows associated with ERP/MRP
● Using business software and office tools as required and developing a growing competency

You:
Education: Working Knowledge and experience of working with ERP, MRP and office applications.
Experience: Strong previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with clear understanding of planning, procurement and logistics processes. Experience in processing shipments of hazardous goods and DGN qualification is desirable. Forklift operator licence is a plus.
Language(s): Fully Competent in oral and written English.
Personality: Adaptable Team Player
The ability to manage several priorities at once is a necessity.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good interpersonal and organisational skills.
