We are actively seeking a motivated and hands-on Field Service Engineer to join a global leader in the semiconductor industry, supporting some of the world’s most advanced manufacturing technology.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment at the forefront of innovation across IoT, cloud computing, 5G, autonomous vehicles, smartphones, tablets, and advanced silicon manufacturing.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide onsite technical support for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You’ll be responsible for installations, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of highly complex systems at customer facilities.

Shift Pattern:

  • 2 day shifts
  • 2 night shifts
  • Followed by 4 days off

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and PLC/software-related faults
  • Perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades
  • Interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams
  • Support spare parts management and inventory control for customer systems
  • Deliver regular performance and service updates to customers and internal management
  • Ensure all work is completed to high technical and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Higher Certificate/Apprenticeship (NFQ Level 6) in a technical discipline with 3+ years’ experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • OR
  • Ordinary Bachelor’s Degree (NFQ Level 7) in a technical discipline with 1+ year relevant experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and PLC/software-related systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Eligible to live and work in Ireland
  • Full willingness to work onsite in Ireland on shift rotation
