Full job description

Intern Addiction Counsellor/Psychotherapist Programme

We at Tabor Group, are offering an Intern Addiction Counsellor/Psychotherapist role, through our Intern Programme.

The programme will combine a level of learning in an education and training institute and also on-the-job based learning.

This will be a part-time specified purpose role and the intern will be expected to make a full contribution to the delivery of our residential treatment programmes. Attaining this capacity will be reflected in the terms and conditions for the role. The contract for this role is a Specified Purpose Contract.

This programme will give the successful candidate the opportunity to gain experience in delivering as part of a team, a range of treatment supports to Clients attending the Tabor Group treatment programme(s) in-line with organisation values.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Working towards achieving their full level 8 award in addiction studies, counselling, psychotherapy or relevant fields

or

  • Evidence of having signed up to gain a qualification at a min of a full Level 8 award in addiction studies, counselling, psychotherapy or relevant fields

and

  • Evidence of having registered with a recognised addiction counsellor accredited body and are working toward accreditation with Addiction Counsellors of Ireland.
  • Capable of providing evidence of both criteria (Level 8 & Accreditation) within 2 years of commencement – failure to adhere to this will result in the agreement being reviewed.
