General Operative / Machine Operative

Founded in 1982, Kent Stainless is a world-leading manufacturer and global exporter of stainless-steel products. Based in Wexford, Ireland, we specialise in engineered solutions for projects designed by architects and consulting engineers. With over 200 employees, we serve industries including Pharma, Medical, High Tech, Civils and Wastewater Treatment, exporting to the UK, Europe, the Middle East and the USA.

We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Operative / Machine Operative to support day-to-day operations within our factory. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong work ethic.

What you will do:

Working as part of our production team, you will be responsible for a range of operational tasks. Full training will be provided; however, prior experience in a similar environment is highly desirable. Typical duties will include:

  • Operating machinery in line with production plans and quality standards
  • Ensuring equipment is used efficiently and correctly
  • Assisting with general factory operations as required
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Working to deadlines and production targets
  • Following all company policies and health & safety procedures

Qualifications / Competencies you should have

  • Ideally 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, motivated, and capable of working without constant supervision
  • Good work ethic and positive attitude

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience operating forklifts, machinery, or hand tools
