Full Job Description

Medical Doctor – Cork [Part-Time, Flexible Hours]

We are a brand-new, doctor-led weight management clinic in Cork seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Medical Doctor to lead or help lead our personalised Weight Management and GLP-1 Treatment Programme. Our clinic will offer a bespoke, medically supervised service, with treatment plans tailored to each clients' individual needs, health goals and circumstances.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team; nurses, nutritionists, personal trainers and administrative staff to deliver a comprehensive and holistic approach to weight management. Our philosophy extends beyond weight loss alone towards sustainable & long-term lifestyle changes.

We are looking for a doctor who is passionate about preventative healthcare, genuinely invested in patient outcomes and motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

What We Offer

  • Very competitive Salary
  • Supportive & Collaborative working environment
  • Flexible, part-time start, growing with the practice
  • A calm, private clinical environment with proper time per patient
  • The chance to help shape a new clinical service from the ground up

What will you do

  • See patients in person from their initial visit, alongside a nurse practitioner; full medical history, bloods, body composition scan etc.
  • Prescribe and manage GLP-1 treatment with a focus on safe, gradual dose titration
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, not in isolation
  • Build real relationships with patients over time — no high-volume list, no rushing
  • Supporting clients, alongside other clinicians in maintaining their weight loss with or without the use of GLP-1s.

What you need

  • Registered with the Irish Medical Council
  • 4+ years’ post-registration clinical experience
  • A genuine interest in helping patients improve their health and reach their optimum weight & maintaining it
  • Comfortable coordinating care with a wider clinical team
